Developer Miner & Acting Shift Supervisor — De Beers Group, Musina

Oct 2022 – Present

  • Lead and oversee all safety operations related to Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMMs), including daily inspections, compliance checks, and maintenance of firefighting and safety equipment in line with MHSA standards.
  • Coordinate the construction of sumps and drainage systems to manage excess water on the main decline and rim tunnels.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor road maintenance schedules to ensure safe and efficient underground transportation routes.

SLC (Sublevel Caving) Miner — Finsch Diamond Mine

May 2017 – Sept 2022

  • Conducted area inspections and safety declarations, ensuring that all working zones remained compliant with mine health and safety standards.
  • Supervised a production crew responsible for tunnel preparation, drilling, and charging activities in alignment with detailed drill and blast plans.
  • Enhanced underground ventilation efficiency through the development of 4x4 meter Kimberlite tunnels, utilizing force and exhaust ventilation systems.
